How to use this tool

Use the date from which the supplier states the shelf life starts, or switch to Days until expiry for a printed date.

Weeks count as seven days. Calendar months keep the day where possible and use the last day of a shorter month when needed.

Common questions
Can I calculate a use-by date from the date I received stock?
Only when the supplier states a shelf life measured from receipt. Otherwise copy the printed use-by date from the product.
What happens when I add one month to 31 January?
The calculator uses the last day of February, because that month has no 31st day.
